Nobu Restaurant, Berkeley St is located in the heart of London’s iconic Mayfair district. High profile chef and founder of the international Nobu Restaurant Group, Nobu Matasushia, has successfully opened 30 uniquely styled restaurants worldwide. Nobu has become one of the world’s most recognised and fashionable Japanese restaurants, renowned for its innovative new style cuisine paired with a hip crowd and celebrity following.

Following the creation of an impressive menu by both Nobu Matasushia and Executive Chef, Mark Edwards, the restaurant received a Michelin star accreditation, after only five months of opening.

Paolo Pegoraro, Facilities Manager of Nobu Berkeley St came across Amtico Limed Grey Wood from the premium Signature collection and proposed this product for the restaurant. Paolo comments “I was looking for a suitable replacement for the existing Pergo laminate flooring, as this had become tired and unsuitable for the restaurant renowned as being glamorous, contemporary and chic”.

“Nobu has a reputation to uphold and so style and quality were expected as a standard requisite. Being a busy restaurant space, we also needed to be mindful of the requirements for durability and maintenance, and also safety for Nobu’s guests and staff. Amtico were able to offer a vast range of great looking products with the peace of mind that the floor would be durable.”

The unique nature of Amtico’s Signature range allowed Paolo to create a design that could easily be cut and combined with other products and existing areas of flooring. Amtico Signature Limed Grey Wood has created a soft yet contemporary backdrop that complements the restaurants luxurious styling.
