The upcoming Clerkenwell Design Week (although not a full week – Ed) is set to be a celebration of British designers and manufacturers.
The programme of events really expresses the richness, relevance and advancements in the current UK design industry. With talks, parties, pop-ups & product launches on all things design being schedule over the three days.
Daren Newton, co-founder of Clerkenwell Design Week told The Huffington Post in a recent interview: “Implementing innovation in the design world is an integral part of its future. Design is such a unique area we thought if it’s not done properly soon, there might not be a chance to try again. This is why Clerkenwell Design Week is such a wonderful focus to introduce the latest in cutting edge design.”
We couldn’t agree more. We are looking forward to exhibiting alongside some really fascinating British inventiveness. Take Assembly Rooms & Ablam, a furniture-meets-menswear designer, creating ‘A x a’, a collection of furniture set to be unveiled at Clerkenwell.
Another one to watch is the husband and wife team at Bark Furniture. This couple have been working on ‘The Kustom Collection,’ handmade furniture inspired by fifties Americana. Then there is Imogen Heath’s new fabric collection, Bethan Gray’s new venture G&T, Anthony Dixon, deadgood… and those are just a few of the treats on offer.
Our designers and sales teams are looking forward to meeting, chatting and sharing with you why we believe Clerkenwell is important to design and what we as a business are doing to push the design boundaries.
If you’re around please come and introduce yourselves, we’re in the Farmloe Building.
